its no secret, i'm sleep deprived. I barely register the little things but I do have some consciousness of what i do.
so here's the thing. last week, i had bought another pack of diapers for julie and put it away in the stock room. i noticed there were two. the pack of 23 diapers i only buy to bring to her daycare. the big box of 98 i buy for the house and there was a box already in the room. the other day, monday, i had brought one pack of diapers to the daycare, leaving one pack spare.
as i was preparing my bread rolls, I checked my phone and saw that the daycare coordinator had sent me a message over whatsapp asking me to bring another pack. that annoyed me. i had just brought one in literally the other day. so i went to see meanne in the room who was ironing and i asked her to verify if i had indeed brought the pack on monday or if i had gotten my days wrong and i brought it last week. she confirmed, it was indeed monday. so i went to the stock room to get the spare pack i knew was there. it wasn't. odd. so i thought i remembered wrong. i yelled at meanne that tomorrow she would need to go out and buy one pack. i walked towards the kitchen and there it was on the white table - the diapers.
now the only time i had gone to the stock room was after i got the message, so i wouldn't have taken it out as i had no prior knowledge that i needed it. and i wouldn't have taken it out for the house as i already have another pack. so i stared at it and went back to meanne asking her if somehow earlier she had taken it out. before going into the room she told me, the white table was clean - she had just moved julie's jacket off the table some minutes before i walked into the room to ask her when i brought the diapers.
we cannot figure out why the hell that pack is out. neither one of us brought it out.
i think i'll be leaving a light on tonight.
