Since the weekend, I've been bothered.
Its a 'rental issue, that no one else, I know at least, can help me out with. No one can help me make sense of it or point me in the right direction of what to do, if ever anything.
They listen, oh, they listen well. But I don't need listening ears (well, I do but not just) - I need ideas and more than anything, the feeling of being understood.
Even though I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted to with my older brother last December. I called him. I turned to him and despite the distance, physically and emotionally, he came through for me. Like he always has, all the years before when I needed him.
I really miss my kuya.
Its stupid, I'm crying while I'm writing this. Blame it on the hormones. You just had to be there to see that we had something solid and I miss it. However, it was because of circumstances, that I was lucky enough to know my Kuya that way. When he got married, up on the altar, a montage of our moments was playing in my head.
He used to pick me up from Assumption, when his schedule permitted. I would time it in such a way that, by the time he arrives, I'm waiting for him with Mcdonalds already in tow.
He used to take me to Ateneo on Wednesdays, so I could hang out with my friends. Once, his psycho-ex's friend saw me, and reported me to her, as seeing my kuya with another girl! She was ready to confront me when after a second, she realized, it was me! Crazy!
I used to go with him for his projects. I remember once watching Roe vs. Wade with him and that movie really made an impact on me.
His good friends, I keep as my friends too!
The rides home. Those I miss so much. We'd be stuck in traffic, but we'd tell each other about our days or be singing our lungs out to the songs on the radio.
I learnt so much from Kuya. When he's driving, and he needs to study, I would read the passage to him or he'd recite whatever it was that he had to know by heart while I would be checking to see if it was correct.
They aren't earth shaking moments, but they were my moments with my brother.
I know we all grow up and move on with our lives, I just wish that our relationship continued to grow and just not be so complicated in order to create new moments.

Dreams do come true
Its the disappointment that I'm afraid of.
What if the dream doesn't come out the way that you've, you know, dreamt it?
But it's not my dream, so I can't claim the heartache.
I'm just so happy to know that dreams can be made into a reality if you want it bad enough. Congratulations!
