Everyone who hasn't been living under a rock has heard of this book. Even Kari who despises this book has already read the entire set - probably even watched the movie too. I can't be sure as she hasn't blogged about it. Everyone who has been captivated and enthralled by the saga were also raging fans of the movie. I have friends who have refused the book until they finish watching all the movies first. Why, oh why, did I have to be bored in an airport and decide to be curious about it?This is why I hate to be addicted to things. I can't let go.
I bought Twilight last year but didn't have time to read it. Coming back from Athens I had more than 6 hours to kill at the airport. So I brought it along to read. And I was entertained! I was so hooked that by the time I landed in Rome, I headed straight to the only English bookstore I knew that would have it and bought all 3 remaining books.
I read New Moon and Eclipse and finished by Monday 3am. Breaking Dawn took me a bit longer to read as I had to force myself to do the other things to live, like cook, eat, do the laundry and of course, go to work. I can't get over the highs and lows and the giddiness of the books. Which is very, very bad. Two nights in a row, I've forgotten to eat and I go to bed at 3am. I'm not in college anymore, so I can't pull off sleeping while at work. Speaking of which, I also needed to be functional at 8.30.
The worse part is abandoning my spanish lessons. I have an exam in less than 2 weeks and I've all but given up on Spanish completely. *sigh* I'm hooked *hangs head in shame* I've even gone so far as reading Midnight Sun over and over again, and now comparing Bella's version with Edwards. ARGH! ACK! awful!
I'll have to give up the books for now and the impossible happy ending and concentrate. As soon as I'm done with my tests, I can go back to Forks. Until then... *sigh*
