Was feeling particulary down last Friday. I did have a run in with a cute drive by that kinda perked me up. Never has being stalked been cuter. I was on route to meet Kristine when this happened.
Anyway, meet up with Kristine (and we just had dinner 2 nights ago! - I've been eating out a bit too often), originally for drinks. But we had dinner again anyway. We got to talking about having brunch the next day. Pinoy style.
Brunch was set at my house for 12ish. Called up Yogi to just check in. Yogi was making breakfast too, as I was burning my garlic! Had fun talking to Yogi while preparing the grub. On the menu was: Sinangag, Fried eggs and corned beef! Yum!
Kristine got stuck unfortunately and didn't get in til around 1. And then we had a challenge with the corned beef. I was stupid and forgot to open it the proper way. We had two cans so the second one we opened correctly. As for the first one, in my haste to open it, I ended up cutting my right thumb and right index finger. It was bleeding profusely. I guess accidents happen in the kitchen, thats the way to learn right?
After brunch, we just chilled out at home with Karaoke and finished off with a Total Eclipse of the Heart duet. I cleaned up, took a nap and then woke up in time to take a shower and get ready to meet up with Mayra for dinner.
Parking in Rome is awful! Getting to dinner was equally bad. I left at 8 to make it to dinner at 9. I got to the area around 9.15 and found parking at 10pm! With my social anxiety, it was pretty awkward for me to walk in, on the people that were already having their dinner. I knew only Fabrizio and Mayra. Carmen was heading the group (I knew her too, but everyone else, I kept away from. Dinner finished around 12 and we hit the club for Salsa dancing!
I don't know how to dance. At all.
Fabrizio was amazing on the floor. Mayra and Carmen too. Later on, Ilaria joined up with us and I was lucky enough to be with someone else who also didn't know how to dance the salsa!
I learned last night though, that while being on a dance floor, you have to let all your inhibitions loose, otherwise you just look like a stick on the floor and noone thinks your pretty then.
We skipped out of the club around 3, but with all the walking (we walked Ilaria first, and then Mayra, Fabrizio and Carmen walked me to the car), we didn't make it to my car until almost four! I drove thenm to where fabrizio's car was parked as he took the other two home and I made it in at 4.30! I was dead tired.
May is coming over in a bit. She comes and cleans the house once a week. I still do my own laundry but I can't be bothered to scrub and clean. In anycase, at 7, I have another outing, this time drinks with Ilaria (same one) in Campo to celebrate her promotion at work!
*whew* I hope I still have enough money to last me the rest of this month!

Enjoying me time...
I'm here on a Sunday evening, after a productive weekend, drinking tea.
Weekend run down was:
Weekend run down was:
- spoke to the landlord to figure out what was taking so long to put on the bars on the house, only to find out that he's actually sick and it was due to his health reasons, that there was significant delay.
- finally got my tires rotated. I could have done it by myself, but I was happy that Leo insisted on wanting to do it with me.
- we went window shopping at the outlet. He bought a jacket and I finally bought the electric kettle I've been wanting for so long.
- had dinner at Greek! So yummy!
- Dropped in on Sinead's birthday bash.
- Talked to home for most of this morning
- looked for places to go for the summer with Leo
- took Leo to the airport
- fixed/continue to fixing my stuff here at home....
I've been wanting to have an electric kettle in the house ever since I found out that you can have one! Mom had always used a pot and boiled water. I thought that was normal until I realized, well it wasn't. Anyway, I'm enjoying my second cup of tea, while basking in the thought that I don't have to wash any pots anymore.

I know that I complained about her a lot and disowned her as a friend. However, I can never really cast a person aside. And so I reached out, only to be dissed. Apparently, because I wasn't useful at that moment, I couldn't be a friend. But of course, when needed, I always had to deliver.
