i have on my wall in the philippines, all these different love quotes i can't even remember half of them now... but suddenly, i remembered this one....
"you can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving,"
and that puzzled me for the longest time. how can you give without love.
but now i get it... you can give... you give out of habit, out of manners, out of obligation....
without thoughtfulness, you can give...
but when you love. oh. when you care? it happens without even realizing that you're giving. your time. yourself. you give until there's nothing left to give and then you find that when called upon, you can give some more....
and that is the greatest love lesson i have learnt.
